Let’s face it: most
local businesses have ugly websites.
They usually look like the owner’s buddy sat down one afternoon, picked the worst photos he could find, and spent an hour or so creating one of those “new-fangled websites” that everyone was so excited about back in the nineties. And that was the last time it was touched. It’s a poor reflection on the business, and it's an eyesore in the online landscape. I keep running into people who tell me, "My friend did my website for me," or, "My son-in-law is doing it for free." So I guess I shouldn't be surprised when local business websites look unprofessional. After all, they're made by people who aren't professionals! They tend to be put together by guys who just like to dabble with the technology, or think it might be a fun pet-project. Your Website Should Look Professional This is your business we're talking about here - you're livelihood! Don't you want people to take you seriously? My passion is helping small and medium-size businesses get taken seriously by providing them with a top-quality online presence. All of the big corporate websites have sleek, streamlined and attention-getting designs. There's no reason you can't have that too. If you want to look big, you've got to consider your changing your appearance on the Internet. For local businesses, web design is largely about aesthetics... the “look” of your site. Do you want to look like a legitimate company, or like you're run out of a garage? What’s that first impression you want to give to potential customers? That’s my specialty: making you look good. Why Custom-Designed Is the Way to Go Corporate business websites are unique because they can afford to be. They spend tons of money creating a brand that helps people everywhere recognize who they are. You can do the same thing on a smaller scale and with a smaller budget. Take a look at the websites I've made. Every website is one-of-a-kind. Creating new things is one of the main reasons I enjoy this work. If you are struggling with a company identity or you need a distinct image to present to the public, I will help you find your identity beginning with your new website. Once you're satisfied with your new look, we can translate that into a logo, business cards, and letterhead design. If you already have a logo, company colors, or unique flavor, it's important that your website match your established look. A website built from a template just won't do that for you, but a custom-designed website can easily mesh with your already-existing aesthetic. Your Website Is Your Front Door I don't mean to sound apocalyptic, but the Internet is taking over! What that means is that a lot of people would rather visit your website than visit you in person. They're not going to peruse your selection of products in the shop - they'd rather check you out here first - in the virtual world. Then, if you can convince them that you're the person they need, they'll call you or come to your shop. That means that your website is now your front door. Don't ignore your front door. Make it beautiful! It's my job to make your front door the most inviting place in the world. My name is Jeffrey Frame, and my company is Pensacola Websites. It is a Pensacola-based web design company specializing in creating classy, attractive websites for local businesses.
